Description
Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP): SAP is a water-soluble, stable derivative of vitamin C; like vitamin C, it is truly versatile! Based on multiple studies, it has an antioxidant effect, stimulates the skin's collagen synthesis, acts effectively against hyperpigmentation. At 1% it is effective against the acne-causing P.acnes bacteria (and at 5% provides excellent performance against them). One of the beneficial skills of SAP is that, since it is a derivative, it is also gentler on the skin, which may benefit those with sensitive skin.
Tetrapeptide-30: Tetrapeptide-30 is a peptide consisting of four amino acids, which, thanks to its hyperpigmentation effect, fades pigment spots and helps even out the skin tone. What's more, a study showed that SAP works synergistically with the vitamin C derivative, meaning that by strengthening each other's effects, they are even more effective on the skin.
Oligopeptide-68: Oligopeptide-68 can have a great effect on hyperpigmentation. Based on research studies, it's a particularly good idea to use it in the morning with your sunscreen as part of your routine.
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (green tea extract): Green tea is a real superstar! It is one of the most researched antioxidant ingredients, and it doesn't hesitate to protect the skin against UV damage.
Glycerin: Glycerin is a so-called humectant type of Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF), i.e. a natural moisturizing element that is also found in the skin.
Hyaluronic acid: Hyaluronic acid is one of the natural building blocks of our body, a significant part of which is concentrated in the skin. One of its best features is that it can hold an amazing amount of water: specifically, a thousand times its own weight! Hyaluronic acid gives your skin extra hydration and care.
FAQ
What skin problems can Elyn's Lab Pigment C-Control serum help with?
• Pigment spots
• Acnes
• Wrinkles
Is it normal for my reconstituted serum to change colour?
Yes, it's a completely normal phenomenon, and you can safely use the serum even if you experience a change in colour; we have attached a photo where you can see to what extent the colour change is accepted within the three-month shelf life after opening.
It is also perfectly fine if the colour of your newly purchased serum is not completely transparent. Since we do not use colouring agents in the production of our products, the colour of the freshly produced serum may vary depending on the raw material, from transparent to a pale yellow champagne colour. Although SAP is a very stable vitamin C derivative, it is a completely natural phenomenon that the colour of the serum changes due to light and air during use (especially in the case of a 10% concentration, which is considered a fairly high active ingredient content). If the change occurs within the normal colour range (you do not experience an extreme orange colour, browning, texture thickening), the product does not become less effective.
Tip: For your serum to maintain its warranty period, we recommend that you store it in a dry place, protected from heat and light (e.g. a closed drawer in the bathroom is ideal for storing it).
What skin type can I use it on?
The serum is suitable for all skin types.
My skin is extra sensitive. Can I use it?
SAP is a vitamin C derivative, which also means it is gentler on the skin, making it a good choice even for sensitive skin. However, please be aware that sensitive skin prone to dermatological problems always requires special attention.
From what age can it be used?
It can be used against acne even from the age of 14.
How long will it take to take effect?
You should experience the effects against acne very quickly, even after a few days, but in the case of pigment spots, depending on the extent of the problem, you will experience a change after several weeks/months of regular use.
Has the product been tested on animals?
In accordance with European legislation, we do not conduct animal experiments; this is a mandatory requirement for all brands manufactured in Europe. It's a fact that we wouldn't support animal testing regardless, so we don't make the brand's products available in countries where animal testing is mandatory.
